Manicure Masterpiece
Last updated:
Manicure Masterpiece is designed to respect your privacy. This page explains what data the app handles and how.
What data the app stores
- Your saved presets, routines, custom colors, product library, session history, and look book entries are saved locally on your device using SharedPreferences.
- Photos you capture or pick (for sessions, look book, virtual try-on, and share cards) are stored in your device's local storage.
- Your settings (sound, haptics, theme, default colors) are stored locally.
What the app does NOT do
- No data is uploaded to any server.
- No analytics, crash reporting, or tracking is collected.
- No account is required. The app does not know who you are.
- Your photos and routines are never shared automatically. Sharing happens only when you explicitly tap a share button and pick a destination.
Permissions the app uses
- Camera — to take photos for sessions, look book, and barcode/QR scanning. Only used when you tap a button that requires it.
- Photos / Media — to pick images from your gallery for sessions, look book, virtual try-on, and color extraction.
- Vibrate — for haptic feedback during the timer.
- Wake lock — to keep the screen awake during a timer session if you have that setting enabled.
Deleting your data
You can delete your data at any time by:
- Uninstalling the app.
- Clearing the app's storage from your device's system settings.
- Using Settings → Reset all my data inside the app.
- Removing individual presets, sessions, look book entries, or custom colors directly in-app.
Third-party code
The app uses open-source packages for features like the color picker, QR scanner, image picker, and palette extraction. None of these packages send data over the network in the way the app uses them. You can review them under Settings → About → Open source licenses inside the app.
